MILITARY TRAINING SIMULATORS — MADE IN INDIA

Tank & ICV (BMP-2), drone / UAV and military driving simulators for the Indian Army, CAPF and police. Train more. Repeat more. Measure more. Risk less.

THE RANGE

THREE SIMULATORS. ONE TRAINING PLATFORM.

DEPLOYED

BUILT, DEPLOYED AND IN USE

Indian Army trainee using the VR Astra simulator station with headset and physical controls

VR Astra has designed and deployed three immersive defence training systems:

  • BMP-2 driver training simulator — platform handling and terrain familiarisation.
  • BMP-2 IMS / gunnery training — weapon-system interaction and controlled engagement exercises.
  • Immersive drone operations simulator — flight, observation and mission-profile familiarisation.

All three share one architecture: guided training, physical interaction, custom scenarios, instructor control, assessment and reporting. The platform changes; the training architecture scales.

Armoured vehicle, gunnery and drone simulation already built and deployed.

Software + hardware

VR environments combined with physical controls, real UAV controllers and 3DOF / 6DOF motion.

Instructor-first design

Your instructors create, assign, monitor, assess and adapt every exercise.

Measurable training

Every attempt produces a performance record — individual and cohort analytics.

Custom terrain

Desert, snow, mountains, forest, water crossings and your own training areas from maps / GIS.

Rapid development

Reusable framework — first deployable modules in as little as 2–3 weeks.

FAQ

MILITARY SIMULATORS — QUESTIONS

Which military simulators does VR Astra build?

VR Astra by Aveera builds tank and ICV simulators (including BMP-2 driver and gunnery training), drone and UAV simulators for flight and ISR missions, and B-vehicle military driving simulators for 4×4s and trucks. All run on one instructor-controlled platform with assessment and reporting, and can be extended to new vehicles, weapons and procedures.

Are VR Astra simulators made in India?

Yes. VR Astra is a brand of Aveera Infotech Pvt. Ltd., an Indian company. Simulation software, scenarios, instructor tools and analytics are developed in India and co-developed with Army subject-matter experts.

Have VR Astra simulators been deployed with the Army?

Yes. VR Astra has designed and deployed a BMP-2 driver training simulator, a BMP-2 IMS / gunnery familiarisation system and an immersive drone operations simulator. See the BMP-2 case study for details.

How quickly can a new simulator module be delivered?

For clearly defined modules on the existing VR Astra framework, an initial deployable version can be delivered in as little as 2–3 weeks. High-fidelity platforms, custom hardware, motion systems and extensive terrain recreation have project-specific timelines.

How do I get a quotation or demo?

Book a demo on this website, or call / WhatsApp +91 70776 67993. We can demonstrate at your establishment or online, and provide a proposal with configuration options (static, 3DOF, 6DOF) and pricing.

WHAT SHOULD WE SIMULATE NEXT?

Vehicles, armament, drones, maintenance, tactical procedures, crew coordination. If it can be defined, observed and assessed, it can be simulated.
